Hi All,
I wanted to post about a product from FLIR. Upfront I will say that we will not be selling this product and neither am I fishing for sales. This is purely an informative thing.
For those of you who have a IR Temperature gun on-board, this may be an interesting little addition to your temp sensing kit. It is a FLIR thermography camera mounted within a case for your iPhone5(s). The link to the marketing blurb is http://www.flir.com/Flirone/
Please keep in mind that the performance of this camera will be very limited but it will be a nifty tool for quickly checking circuit boards / engines, etc, to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary. Much in the same way you would give something a quick visual inspection, you can now take its temperature.
Pricing hasn't been released yet and rumor has it they will be shipping mid Q-2 this year. My personal guess is it'll be sub £300-ish, though don't yell at me if I'm wrong. I've been wrong before, once, and I didn't like it.
