Since gaining experience handling my planing hull with a single diesel engine I have found it very helpful over the last couple of days as my Jaguar XJS handles in exactly the same way- ie steers from the back and goes more or less where it wants to

Re: xjs

yeah - same fuel consumption too! AND there's the dodgy wood too, rubbish windscreen wipers and it's all a bit cramped as well! Actually, an XJS is in fact a boat. You can buy spares at the chandlery and you should feel pretty pleased with youself if you reach your destination in one piece.

Actually I've done 175,000 miles without a problem. Returns 26mpg and as I'm not a fat git the cockpit is ok, mind you get someone in the back and you need a physiotherapist to get them out.

My daughters Land Rover handles like my boat. It wanders all over the place and takes an age to stop.

Ey up cock. My EX XJS V12 steered from the back quite often and so does my boat. But then the boats supposed to steer from the back, cos thats where the rudder is. But XJS rudder is at front!! But boat goes exactly where wanted. Practice with a fork lift truck........../forums/images/icons/smile.gif. ... This place is getting worse!!
