Handheld Fish Finder

Just wondering if anyone has tried those cheapo hand held fish finders/echo
available on ebay.

I'm more interested in finding the type of sea bottom to dry out rather than
anything else. Do you think they will be any good ?

The only handheld fish finder I have tried when river fishing is the Deeper .
It links and uses your mobilephone as a screen. Not particularly cheap but it works well.

I bought one of the cheap ones - FC60 or so. For me, resolution was too low, and results too inconsistent, to make out the bottom type. Did give me depth and some fish, though.
