So I bought a 15 year-old Garmin GPS60SCx. Useful in itself but even better if I could source some marine map software (Scottish west coast). Looks like they were originally available as a CD-rom and downloaded to the unit from a PC; or as a pre-loaded micro SD card. Neither seem easily obtained now. Any advice?

Do you have a smart phone?

I've just bought the Imray 2900 charts for the Firth of Clyde and much to my surprise and delight that includes the electronic charts for the entire west coast of the UK.

I use the GPS to check my position even with a chart plotter.

I would think getting a disc with the maps would be fairly easy. The harder part will be getting the unlock code.
