I have a very old Hand Held VHF that works a treat and is still on the original battery but this is now getting very weak. Does anyone know where I might get a replacement. The battery is for a Quasar ME 60, measures 85-53-17mm and is 12volts.

Thanks Ted.

Very doubtful,Quasar were made by Panasonic and distibuted by Ladyline which went into receivership many years ago, can you get the battery compartment to bits as they are usually separate batts.soldered together,Maplins sell the separate batteries, try to get the ones with tags already on for soldering.Just ordered some for my Silva H/held

Thanks for that. I remember now I bought it from Ladyline at Mountsorrel in Leics. The radio came with 16 and 6 as standard and I had 12 and 67 fitted extra. I'll have to make a trip to Maplins.

Thanks Ted.

Gosh - Ladyline...

Ladyline is a real "blast from the past". I bought a boat there once, must have been mid-70s. The place was huge, as I recall, with loads of boats on display inside a big shed. The place always looked as if it couldn't ever survive...
