We are currently reburbishing the interior of our boat. Wold like to replace the 25 year old basins in both heads that are rusting badly. They are oval in shape approx 310 x 410 . Searching the web I cannot find anything similar..........
The better half has suggested we have copper (!) ones. Any ideas where I can get a replacement?

If the surface is still OK you could use the old one to make a mould and make new ones out of GRP. I wouldn't do it for the galley but it's fine for the heads.

Why is that?
Because I throw pots and pans into the sink in the galley and it's not unknown for a bit of hot fat to go in at the same time. Then I pour boiling water in. My galley sink has to put up with far more abuse than the wash basin in the heads. The worst the wash basin has to put up with is my socks when they are due for their annual wash.
I prefer a stainless sink in the galley. In the heads we have a GRP basin.
