Hampton Riviera enforcement action

You wouldn't even know they were there unless you went round the back of Taggs Island. The EA are happy to pursue a millionaire with a postal address, but still no action to remove the shanty town of junkies, sunken boats and all night generators just a mile or two upstream.

Nice to see the EA are also prepared to take on those whose who think that they can ignore rules and regulations because simply of their ability to buy a path through life .
Not an attempt to keep a roof over a head , just the desire for profit pure and simple.

EA? I read the article to say that it's Richmond Council that took the action, not the EA.

You could be describing Trotman.

Clearly it wasn't a cheap operation but a regrettably necessary one. With the chalet still unsold by the receivers after 6 months despite having it's price slashed to £5 million from £16 million I doubt there will be much of the costs can be recovered after the administrators and lawyers have taken their share.

It would be nice to know who paid for the operation (well obviously 'we' paid for it) but I mean which organisation spent our money on our behalf. It does look like Richmond paid for the legal side. Hard to argue with them spending it however whoever it was and good to see some actual action taken not just words.

Now hopefully they can focus on Trotman but probably easier to go back to extracting more from the vast majority of us that play by the rules than the small minority that don't.
