RCC club member passed under the bridge without any fuss on Friday after filling in the correct forms etc.

Also frequently asked........ What should you put for the reason to go under bridge ?
ie. Taking my boat up to a Thames Broker or "Am going holiday" cannot be bothered to make something up and further more have a 7m hose on board with a hozelock connector.

Getting everthing ready for our visit,
Fuel tanks full.
Chartplotter loaded with full set of waypoints every 100 metres from Teddington to Goring.
.................and nearly forgot these two items. ;)
Nah that wont work.
Its 700mm hose silly.

Did hear from a couple of RCC club members that prior permission no longer needed to go under bridge. Wonder if they have misinterpreteted the open for pedestrians announcement ??
Be nice to know what with us about to grace the river with a visit.

Both Hammersmith and Fulham councils have put out news briefings/bulletin which states that river traffic will resume this Saturday 17 July. Wonder when the PLA will catch up with the game plan? Hope it lasts as we are planning down stream run in middle of August.:)

Further to my last. PLA have issued new NM U4 2021 which basically says obey the traffic signs put up on the bridge. They were quick(y)

No more mention or requirement of having to book a time but they still recommend having a passage plan in place in case the lights turn red and you have to abort your transit.

Happy boating people.
