Hamford water anchorage - lovely

Last weekend we visited the nature reserve at Hamford Water.

Standard pictures of everything we passed over the weekend when there was a fair bit of sailing in the Orwell and through Felixstowe.

We were in Walton Creek for a while yesterday. There are two kinds of noisy birds. The common-as-dirt vulgar ones are oystercatchers of course, but there were also four or five Sandwich terns. These are the sadists who famously make a noise like a dental amalgam being squeezed into place. I took this lousy photo of a couple yesterday, having failed to catch one in flight.
