Most years we travel to Southampton for the boat show And stay a week In our Caravan

As before we brought our Honwave T38 Sib and were blessed with lovely weather on the day we chose for our sib day out

Here is a little video of our trip the lower and upper hamble are in my view very different

The neap tides this week seem very low at high water mind you that double high and long hold in the Hamble is very useful

The high water 'stand' on the Hamble is great. If you go up to the top of the river on the flood tide (say 60 mins) you should have c.120 mins of stand. Then you can leisurely go down river on the ebb. That's quite of lot of time to go exploring right up to Botley. Or have a few wets at the Horse & Jockey at Curbridge....

It makes a pleasant change from rushing around the Solent at 44 knots.
