The River Hamble entrance at night always required concentration as the leading sectored lights were hard to spot and you needed to concentrate on a dark or wet night not to get to close to the bank at low water, they had been out of action for a coule of weeks and I expected the usual dim bulbs to be replaced, but no! We now have super bright (LED's?)lights that can be seen for over a mile, the sectors are very defined and its altogether a great improvement. Well done to the harbour master! ( I did quite like the fun we had before but progress is progress!)

Nice to hear of an improvement, but never had a problem with Hamble lights at night. They were always easy to spot if you knew where you were heading, despite the background lights, which are not as bad as some.

Good news, Chichester Bar lighting was always quite poor and is also greatly improved. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

One of the team on here used to spot 3 or 4 bar beacons on the way back from Priory Bay! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
