I would like to buy a twin engine version, has anyone seen any for sale? I emailed Shepherds twice but the never replied. so, if you see one in yard with a For Sale sign, do let me know

There is, I agreed a purchase for one last year at Berthon and got guzzumped. Since then I have looked at various other boats but still like this cruiser. They are rare in this country.

I would imagine they are a rare craft in the UK. They are certainly an iconic brand on the East coast of Australia, with fairly small production numbers. The focus is certainly on quality.

The Picnic boats are popular around Sydney Harbour and Pittwater, moored on private jettys, usually in front of very impressive homes.

I can't qualify an answer regarding the twin screw setup, the ones I have seen, appear to be single with thrusters.

Nice choice though, happy hunting /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I agree they are over powered, but it is a comfort to have have two engines in case one fails. The one I had in mind was a reasonable price and well cared for. Anyway, it looks a good weekend coming up weather wise. i am looking forward to getting out on the Solent.
