Hi just begining to spend some time and attention on restoring a halmatic 30. Have just removed one of the smallest windows and feel that replacing the frame itself might be the best option.

Any ideas where I can get this frame/trim from?

Many thanks

I know someone who had his aluminium windows completely remade on his Nic39 - was an excellent & not too expensive job.

I'm waiting for him to give me the maker's name as I want to put it on file just in case.

When I get it I'll PM you.

He did say that it was by a company in Kent (I think).

Maybe someone knows who it it's likely to be

That's probably the one - the others seem to be reglazers / refurbishers not makers.

The windows were glass not perspex as well.

I was really surprised at the price - not much more than I paid having mine reglazed only (with perspex) - & that was nearly a decade ago.

Often thought about replacing mine as they are not the best feature of the Halmatic! They look like loose beads on the outside and an inset frame on the inside?

I agree, but they are very typical of the period. The Barbican 30 has much more attractive looking windows, however it would be a major surgical job to change them I would think. We certainly won't be considering it.
