Fine choice! I owned a Halmatic 30 (Mk 1) for several years - great boat which we took to the Med' and back in the early nineties. We never heard of an owners' association I'm afraid and rarely even met another one although there are a fair number about (I think they built about 110 -120). I presume yours arrived in Australia on her own keel?
I think it sailed to Greece and was shipped from there.
I'm really happy with it, great cruiser for the sort of conditions we have here in the Tasman and Bass Strait.
Just put a new Yanmar 3ym30 and three blade prop in it, now its a sailing tugboat.
What's her name? When we owned ours we knew people who sailed theirs to the Eastern Med - westabout!!! Due to a family bereavement, I don't think they comoplted their circumnavigation, leaving the boat in the Med' to be sold. I'm trying desperately to remember the boat name - and failing! I'm sure it will come back to me.
This one is Liskeard Lady.
She was bought new by a Tasmanian who worked as a north sea diver, I've got the original documentation and the Lloyds certificates.
Brought it home to Tassie from the UK, sold it to a mate after a few years and I bought it from him.
Interesting name, I dont dare change it, but it has served her well so far.
