How much would you be ready to pay for an Hallberg Rassy 34 launched on 2003 perfect condition, everything updated, new sails .....

They're usually nice; HR owners tend to look after their boats, and any minor cosmetic problems are relatively cheap to fix.

But it's rather highly priced, have you had it on the market for long?

Been for sale for a while. I actually have a buyer lined up, but he can't complete until he sells his Jeanneau. As we all know prices are negotiable.

The broker usually indicates this, although it only indicates an offer has been accepted not the selling price. You need to talk to a broker who has access to the Yachtworld selling prices database to get a better idea of what you boat might achieve.

How can you know the sale pending price?

You might assume that it's a bit less than the most recently advertised price. Looking at what's on the market, it's clear that a lot of boats have been on sale for a couple of years or so without selling, so they're obviously over-priced. In contrast, the 2003 HR34 which John Rodriguez Yachts just sold was offered at £97.5K and probably sold within a couple of months of being listed (John reads this forum and may be able to comment). But Transworld have a 2006 HR342 listed at £110K, and that's not just 3 years younger but is also a rather nicer boat than the earlier 34.
