Halcyon 27

Last year we purchased a Halcyon 27, one of the jobs outstanding was to fit new rubbing strake. Part was lost mid Atlantic, remainder removed back in the UK, owner did not get round to replacing.
Question, what size is a standard one, and did it run across transum ?
