Well dont want to fit a large genny any tips as next time we anchor its with qwackers ,yes she is better of with a bottle of jd

As much as I hate to admit this, we have a 2 kW inverter on board for just that purpose. £250 from eBay, works a treat. Powers the toaster too but memories of GC1 prevent me from saying any more...

I wouldn't put an 2k inverter in for a hair dryer. You will stress the batteries. My 1k inverter flatenned my bank of 3 x 135Ah running a fridge for 3 hours. I have a Honda 3KW genny you can use if you must when we're down there.

Do you have hot-air heating? I'm sure I've seen a kit that gives a neat socket on the bulkhead and a hose and nozzle you plug into it when needed. Diesel-powered hairdryer is bound to be more effective than a 12v one :)

Gents...... Serious reply from Mrs T.

She swears by Batiste Dry Shampoo. For the times we don't have 240 volts (which isn't often) she always uses this and says its saves all the faff. It's fair to say Swmbo cares about her appearance and war paint, so much be good product.

Not if you run the engine. We (despite being WAFIs) have a 130a alternator ;-)

50Amp is the biggest I can get on each engine without going double according to the salesman and his computer.
