Yep tomorrow night is the BIG NIGHT... I will meet Snowleopard down at the Club for dinner.
Have had a hair cut, ( only have a few left).. polished my shoes, ironed a shirt, etc etc.
As this will be our first meeting , I am seeking any advice as to subjects of conversations to avoid (apart from cricket rugby etc) I know I should not mention Tony B.. but read a report in the weekend paper that you guys wil re-elect him.. . S*** all the tripe I read from you on this BB must be wrong

Should I talk about Charlie and the big "C".. is that generally accepted in UK , that they wil marry. Here we couldn't give a S***

Am turning on a bit of heat for him, about 32 *C tomorrow.

Advice please

This thread is seriously misleading - you _cannot_ possibly have a non-boaty thread involving SnowLeopard (uness Mrs SnowLeopard's about of course and even she if not totally keen has more water under her keel than most).

Just talk to him about boats and you'll not be home early ! You can tell him what the weather's like back here to cheer him up - grey and raining and chilly !

Never mind talking, just feed him beer. If you provide plenty of beer, he'll soon be on here posting about how wonderful Oz is, and how hospitable the inhabitants. I guarantee the subject of conversation won't be mentioned /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

As a special favour to a fellow forumite I have obtained permission from Helen Clark for you to take Snowleopard to a John Farnham concert /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

{For non-antipodeans Helen Clark is now chief events organizer in this part of the world - in between being PM that is}.

Regards and have fun

Well, I don't know - certainly looks like man, don't think I would want her as company tho' - leopards would be much, much better, even man eating snowy ones /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

One of the troubles is that she is one of those people where everything has to be either compulsory or is prohibited with her deciding which it is to be, with no discussion - as Johnny Farnham and Johnny Howard have found out.

Don't think it has made the news over there but she concedes that she made her "veto decision" without even knowing who John Farnham was /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, which also gives an idea of the level of her exposure to the real world.

Anyway, have a good time and good weekend

regards

John
