But took the unique opportunity to circumnavigation the village in the dingy and shall be sending a protest to the Chief Fire Officer; I was the stand on vessel not his big red fire engine! :D

After this daring deed, I have to admit undertaken without life jackets, but wearing my SNSM jacket (so I must have been OK) do I qualify for a gong of any sort or funding from the Government for the new sport of 'flood rowing'?

Flooding

We have seen many mentions on news here in Oz of the flooding in UK. I hope you and your household are all OK. Yes you deserve a gong if only for venturing outdoors.
Please be careful. Floods can be dangerous.
I guess right now you could use some of our weather to dry it up. 39 degrees max today with temps nudging 40 for another week. Too hot for sailing unless you late in the evening. good luck olewill

In The Wet

Olewill,

a very Merry Christmas !

What they call floods here are for the most part - but not all - chickenfeed compared to OZ...

There are indeed some serious floods in spots generally to the South West
and I feel really sorry for the inhabitants.

Then again we see a lot of films of prats driving at high speed into deep floods and fords, these are the sort of people who couldn't find their own arse with two spare hands...

Have a very Merry Christmas in Oz !

Andy
