Gypsy Moth IV for sale..?

Certainly looks genuine.
What on earth is going on?
Boat was rebuilt using lots of dosh and donations, and IIRC was bought by UKSA for a token amount. So what's happening??

It would appear she's "free to a good home" - asking price £0.00

I guess the corporate charter/team building thing didn't take off.

If she's not free to a good home; what about the money UKSA gets for her?
Restoration paid for by donations/sponsorship/lottery and bought for a pittance... are they going to give all that money back? Doubt it.

I just hope this is a windup, after all those firms and individuals gave freely of their time and materials it would seem deception for UKSA to sell and reap a profit, they have already gleaned a huge amount of free publicity for their involvement. If it is true then what does it say of the society that we live in today.

Please tell me this is a troll, else what a s**tty start for the new year.

Seems to me that this page is just a DESCRIPTION of GM IV and it is not for sale. This shows on a page marked as 'Famous' and if you do a search from scratch on the home page, it does not show up.
Did Boatshed sponsor GM IV in any way? If so, they probably did this as a matter of record.

Found it slightly odd that there was no mention of the rebuild, or did I miss it. Also they do not know age of standing rigging and most sails, were they not part of the refit ?
Read as sales litreature, but not sales litreature.

Guess its just a description, but a bit odd when its on a boat selling site with the same layout as all of their adverts!

Who would buy this boat? The fact that Chichester managed to get round the world in it is a testament to Chichester, not the boat. In his typical understated way he described her as 'temperamental'. I certainly hope all her handling issues were addressed during her restoration.
