G\'whale replacement

Couldn't find the old post.

Thanks to all those who offered advice on this.
Completed Sunday in about 3 hours solid. No assistance.
For a 37 ft boat and 30 metres of rubber strip I reckon that was pretty amazing!

Huge quantities of washing up liquid - essential.
Warm Day - preferable.
Assistance - would have helped.
Most useful piece of equipment - HAMMER !!! (round end most sucessful)
Worked brilliantly.
Forget blunt screwdrivers, chisels and various other levers. For this type of rubber fendering the hammer won hands down.

Re: G\'whale replacement

Did it have an aluminium insert, and how did you attach it to the hull? 3 hours sounds amazingly quick, well done!

Re: G\'whale replacement

G'whale is aluminium extrusion and black rubber inserts into this with an inner flange on the rubber that fits behind the edges of the aly' extrusion to stop it falling out.
Bit difficult to explain.
Main centre section of the rubber insert is slightly hollow.

Must confess I was very pleased/ surprised!
