Well worth going. Especially if you like the old designer gear but are tight git like me. They have a super Ralph Lauren Outlet, Tommy H, Ted Baker, Gap, Bally, etc etc.

There's also lots of cafes, restaurants.

In addition you can look well flash arriving by boat.

It is worth a visit - not much mooring space so better phone ahead. If you make a weekend of it, moor at Haslar and go by dingy or the ferry. I wouldn't plan on overnighting at Gunwharf (if you can?), bit lumpy.

Shops are pretty good though most is end of line and last seasons stuff.

I went shortly after it opened and I thought it was hideous. Firstly, its very very lumpy thanks to all and sundry zooming past at 10knots or more so an overnight stay is nigh on impossible (take loads of fenders). Secondly, I did'nt happen to enjoy the great unwashed gawping from the quayside nor the volley of beercans that arrived later. Still, if you like people to think you're a rich bastard and you're into fast food served very slowly by brain dead morons, it's a great place

Thanks for all the replies, BUT Fridays drive down was the road to hell, 5 hours from Notts area, normally takes 3 hours 10 mins to Lym, arrived late, got up late, arrived in Cowes, yes LATE too late for cheap diesel at 26 p, so stayed in Cowes, oh well shall save it for another weekend, good excuse to go down again soon.
