Does anyone have any knowledge/views on this vessel? We were moored next to one and I saw one was once for sale by the broker JR but curious to know if any forumites might have sailed on one -are they under canvassed maybe any issues to look for etc? Appreciate not many built but they seemed to be a good offering for a centre cockpit boat ?

Richard Matthews attempt to get back into the market after selling Oyster. Tony Castro design and was well received by the testers in mags (like most boats!) but hit a very crowded market at the wrong time so never really caught on. Arguably too small for the luxury market which was then steadily moving up in size.

I was a nice boat big on comfort short on storage, too wide for its length and expensive. They did make some bigger boats but they didn't get the traction of Oyster. Competing against Oyster is really hard Discovery couldn't make it work today fast luxury cruisers is confined to Oyster and Hylas and possibly HR.
