Hello all, this is my first post so I don't know if I posted this in the right place. I don't know much about boats, but my dad does. He's on ship working right now and is interested in a gullets so he told me to search the internet for prises of gullets, l.o.a. and other information about them.
I'm searching the net but google gives me most turistic pages. So I came here to ask you if you can provide me with some sites, web pages with information about gullets. Particulary ones made in Turkey. Thanks.

There are about 66 Gulets (with one "l") for sale in the YBW boats for sale-section. That'll give you an idea of the price ranges.

Anybody ever sailed/has on of these? I would like to hear some first hand experience as well.

Hello Ante and welcome to the Forum.

I am not familiar with a "gullet" and a web dictionary search described it as "the tube that links the throat to the stomach".

Would you please give a description?

Re: Gulets

The sails are mostly a decoration and sunshade for the passengers/guests.

Quality varies wildly. Some of the ones we regularly see in the Ionian are barely seaworthy but the ones from Turkey with guests onboard for more than a daytrip appear much better set up.

They are a large form of motor sailer commonly found in turkey with the accent on the motor part rather than sail. They are used for carrying holiday makers on day trips or even longer holidays. Mostly constructed of wood some even made from softwood.
