Gull deterent on a mooring

We found these very effective http://www.birdstop.co.uk/daddi_long_legs.asp. One large one mounted on the wheelhouse roof, a second smaller one on the cabin roof. The units lift off the permanently fixed base, slide into a tube and stowed below when you want to use the boat. Found them very effective against gulls and not overly expensive.

Yes they are good. I've looked for them before, unsuccessfully, so thanks for the link

In Torquay and Shamrock Quay marinas, they play a recording of various gull alarm calls every 30 mins or so. Eventually I got used to it, and so did the gulls.

Not heard the recordings for some years, but Torquay now has a local raptor enthusiast who brings eagle owls and various other raptors for an evening walk......they work very well indeed!!! Until the owls are loaded back into the van.
