We have recently purchased a 1969 Triana 25 which is currently laid up in Marine & General's yard at St Sampsons. She has been out of the water for 2/3 years and so hopefully the hull is nice and dry [in osmosis terms]. Has anyone any recommendations for someone to sand/grit/slurryblast the hull and apply several coats of epoxy plus antifoul [I was wondering about coppercoat?] locally, hence saving the VAT. Bearing in mind I won't be able to supervise or view the prepared bottom - ooer missus.

There is a guy locally who can sand blast the hull and I have just called Jeff for you and he can epoxy it for you but will be in about two weeks time which gives you time to have it stripped back.

If you need a hand with supervision of the works sen me a pm as I am down that way every week and know the people who do the jobs I dont mind helping you out. Also can give you the name and numbers of people for lifting etc.

I take it you have seen the boat etc. Do you need a surveyor?
