Forgot about this but need to remove a completey ruined gauge. I'm looking to blank it off as it was not wired in anyway.

Ive tried searching for such a thing by a number of ways and still can't locate the right kind of item in the uk.

Any ideas where to locate such a blank circle of plastic?

What diameter? You might get lucky and find something on www.componentforce.co.uk. I've ordered from them a few times and they're good, but best of all if you ask on their website for a free sample they send you one ;)

Colhel could turn you a polished s/s disc with a spigot to fit into the hole

Sink, or rather bath tap blanks are 52mm in dia just like many gauges and I have used them in the past, available in chrome, brass and white, I got an assorted slack handful for about £10 from ebay.

Its a standard size, not the small ones but the larger size. I reckon its a 5" dial, need to measure it really but definitely a larger standard gauge

Yikes, 5inch is pretty big. You can get desk grommets (google/google image that) in 125mm dia though perhaps they're not as pretty as you'd like. Maybe you can use the hole for a USB lead or something! Or you can buy a nice 5 inch clock or barometer

I say 5" but in all honesty I've No idea its a rough guess.

The gauge in question is a rudder location gauge from a cetrek auto pilot. Its completely ruined and has no cables going to it, so looking to blank it off for the time being

It's on the centreline then I guess. So a clock aint such a bad idea? Or a Raymarine/Garmin square instrument - they are 110 x 108mm iirc

Brilliant website! Only would of been better if I had paid attention and ordered the 90mm one I need instead of 9mm....
