The big music weekend to start the winter liveaboard season is happening on the 25/26/27 Oct. If you like playing come on up and join in our jam sessions, blues, trad, country, and even some light rock. If you like listening its a great fun event, there are also other organised activities on such as walking, historic tours and more. Special guest appearance, LUDD on the harmonica oh and if we can't stop him vocals too !!!!

Hello Paul

We may well return for the music weekend (as long as Ludd is NOT allowed to sing :D)
(or tell any stories lol)

I resemble that remark! See you there , we need as many tonedeaf listeners as possible!:p

Be aware , everyone, that as impecunious liveaboards we may very well pass the hat around!

Ha ha I wondered how long it would take for you to put your oar in :D

Be aware that as impecunious liveaboards, its unlikely much will get put into your hat :D
No doubt something will but it won't be dosh :D

Sailing from Ayamonte to Lagos tomorrow afternoon. Back from Uk on the 18th.
Wife returning Uk on 7th Nov so we have a couple of weeks spare which all being well
will be spent with you all in Alcoutim.

Ludd. When we came down river last week we saw that large British wooden ketch, (the one that had the tree on its anchor) cant remember her name, up one of the creeks where she appeared to be partially sunk..................any news ? Sandy.

"Senhora" ex Scottish ring net fishing boat. She was put into the Rio Grande so that she would sitt on the bottom at low tide. No firm facts, but I think shen must have lain over, and before she got a chance to rise , filled through her topside seams, which have had no attention for at least 10 years . Bloody good Gardner 5-pot on her, too.

Tks for that Ludd. Hope no one hurt & that is not her final resting place.

Hi All
I have just heard that the new Zip Wire across the river will be open soon. It will be an extra attraction to come up for the weekend. It is the only zip wire between two countries in the world and is over 700 meters long. I had a look at it last time I was their and it looked a little scary, but I think I will have to do it, before I get too old for that sort of thing!!!

Wimp! When it opens,I'm up there for sure----might make it a once a month job!
By the way,"Senhora " has now been refloated.

That'll be two things that are once a month for you then :D

By the way,"Senhora " has now been refloated.

Good to hear but will they learn the error of their ways and do some work on her ? I suspect the answer to be a NO.
