I had been unable to get my Wifi NMEA data & GSM working simultaneously. I always had to choose, internet or NMEA sailing Data. Switching between as I required.
I think I have managed to resolve this with:

A free ISH app that should resolve the problem and may even allow me and misses to share data on the boat (were on different networks).
If anyone has alternative solutions please let me know.
For those on Apple I believe this is not an issue on iOS
