You may laugh but I still have all my NBC (Nuclear, Biological & Chemical) warfare gear. Do I need to put it on in the marina, or just when I leave the lock?

Only being a smart arse cos I drive past it frequently, I think they own one of the antifouling co's. they do it's International (just looked). But don't know what they prepare there.
Nobel make dynamite & other explosives, I remember that from living in East Anglia when a delivery van of theirs caught fire in Peterbrough and blew up demolishing a considerable amount of Industrial units! Subsequent enquiry suggested that carrying detonators and explosives in the same van wasn't a good idea!!!!!!

Barry,

I have discussed bungs with someone already, I was concerned when i was going to buy an emergency fibreglass repair case, that there was not much in it for £59, so left it, still have to sort this out. I have bought two emergency blankets they are in the first aid kit, I spoke to Volvo about the drive belt, they said I didn't need it but sold me a spare impeller and showed me how easy it was to fit (not on a merc though l.o.l.). I have a drogue (sea anchor), but a bucket on a rope is probably just as good, Radar reflector, well I can't get my head around that as there is so much nonsense about, I am aware of the rules on this but am still searching for the right one, plus Glastron the spoilsports have denied me a gantry that I could have got loads of kit on. If an oil tanker can't see a bloody massive cargo boat, what hope do I have looking 3x bigger? As for the water maker, I have had serious concerns about that, they are so expensive, but you have made me feel guilt now so I will re visit that. Thanks for your concern

Don't forget to pack a case of Biscuits Brown AB. If all else fails, you can use them as ballast
