Going to leave as is,the portlight trim concerned is in the Hobbit Hole 2nd bedroom and not that visible.
Internet search produces very similar quality complete portlights for less money.
Going to forget this and find something else on the boat to be irritated with.

i am not that up on it, but it wouldnt surprise me if there were firms out there that would scan the old one and produce a new copy on 3d. But def a winter job.

For anybody the least interested sorted the autopilot not going in the right direction problem.
Replaced the fluxgate, never found where the old one was hidden on the boat, its still in there somewhere.
Exactly the same when the AIS/VHF automatic aerial switch failed , never found that that either.
