I've got it, and its thick and green.
Where the boat has been rocking about on its swinging mooring as the ships go by its even started to creep up the free board. I've used all the proper antifoul (fishfood) and coated the sides with teflon wax(starbrite), but it still looks like an unkemp greenhouse!

Any suggestions peeps??

Syd :)

a scrubbing brush is the only solution, have thought of getting one of those spray bottles and filling it with bleach, but as a paid up member of the marine conservation society have never tried it.

Re: sunlight on hull

this is true. in another marina with lots of space (and in uk where loads of space) growth can be quite bad . But jammed between a load of boats, much better.

Is there a sort of skirt thing that one could make? has anyone done this?

Re: sunlight on hull

Theres a yacht in Plymouth with a skirt on. Not a miny skirt, but full length, right under the boat. It never moves, so cant say what it's like up the skirt!!

Presume that's the sailing boat with covers from the top of the hull downwards. No idea what the hull's like but the covers look awful.
