Help anybody please!!!
The problem is that the shorepower electrics have packed up!
The boat is a Sealine 305 Statesman circa 1987.
We recently had a new gas alarm system fitted (lpg/co) which needed the electronics guismo panel being removed to allow wiring for same to be installed.
have checked power cable from quayhead to boat this is ok,
what now?
Pressed every button on reset panel, but no joy!!
Praying there is a simple solution.
All help gratefully appreciated

Have you checked the shore power unit on the pontoon ?

Then the boat end of the power cable, then the input into the shorepower unit on board. (What's the make of the unit ?)

Is there a reset button on the unit ? Any fuses blown or circuit breakers in the trip position ?

Is there any "humming" from the unit at all ?

"..have checked power cable from quayhead to boat this is ok,"

Checked how? Is there voltage at the boat end of the cable?
Try plugging into another shore power outlet or getting someone else to plug into yours. It's essential to be systematic when fault finding electrics once you have checked all the breakers/switches are correct. ie voltage checks should be carried out at
1 pontoon outlet
2 boat end of shore power cable
3 If accessible, at the rear of the shore power connector (male end) fitted to the boat
4 at the electrics panel
5 at the first set of breakers/switches
etc etc

To clarify,
yes we did check pontoon end ok.(Brought another connection
terminating in a std 3 pin plug into which we plugged the kettle)
yes we did check my cable to shore was ok by taking it away and trying it on the marina owners boat that worked ok.
so we know (think?) quayside to boat power ok.
From boat/internal electronics 'dead' as the proverbial!
No buzzing or humming, couldn't find anything vaguely resembling a set of breaker/circuit switches.
yes we did check wiring to boat socket, live was a bit 'green'
so we cleaned up with emery and replaced.
still praying!!
