Am I the last person in the world to here about GRIB files for rapid downloads of weather info? If not, the link you need is www.grib.us then download the ugrib software and off you go. Files are compressed and typically (depends on the coverage you choose) 200k

no more accurate than any other weather model. Gribs are just a way of accessing the weather charts in a compact form so you don't have to spend a fortune if away from normal computer access to weather charts

No, you're not the last. And you're not the first. According to their team, several dozen forumeers/Brits have registered, since they opened, in the past few weeks.

Nonetheless, it's good news that a previously expensive but useful facility has just got more affordable i.e. free! Now all we need is SimonJK to come on here and teach us how to use it.
