Don't know what the problem is with loading the files direct to your phone (I presume that is what you are trying to do) I suggest you just use the phone as a modem linked to your pc, then you should be able to use your browser to get the files.

If you find this too slow, I have a program that I developed that'll grab the files direct from globalmarinenet without you having to use a browser. That is much more efficient ( I wrote it to work with an Iridium satellite phone)

Yes - Stop using a mobile phone. Get a SSB and Pactor modem.

I recently did a yacht delivery and the skipper who had sailed down the Red Sea getting Data via Iridium spent nearly $1,500 in a month.

On our trip from Muscat to India (16 days) - we spent 0$. Plus he thought it was more reliable.

Marine SSB.... not GSM/GPRS/3G/Edge/Blackberry etc....

Hi Graham

Which version of Windows are you using (sorry, it's Windows only) 2000, XP or Vista? 2000 needs a different version for some reason I've never fathomed!
