from 52.18S/73.41W @ 11.49UTC, heading 218deg/14.6kt. Entering Str of Magellan in about 1hr. Scenery impressive;weather very changeable and cool. At Punta Arenas tonight.
Greatings from the middle of darkest Lancashire. It's cold and damp and like a prat, I'm sat talking nonsence to a computer. However on a lighter note, the dafodills have just poaked their noses out of the ground, so something must be happening. Last town I lived in, they came out at the end of Jully. Here its much warmer and hoping the flowers may appear about April. Thats if the frost or wind dosent do them in first.
Well down here in the Severn / Avon area its been sunny all day. Daffs and Crocus in full bloom.
Went down to the marina on the Severn this afternoon and a buzz of preseason activity.
Still looking at a boat to buy :-0
Hi Arthur,
Hope you're keeping your pelican warm, they don't like it cold you know! Seriously I'm very jealous , always wanted to go to the Magellan Straits since I did about it at school. I guess that means you didn't get to go round Cape Horn though, and get to wear gold earrings? Hope you're having a fantastic trip.
Just entering channel to Ushuaia 54 52s/68 05W. Spectacular scenery. Should be cruising Cape Horn tomorrow via Beagle Ch. then to falkies.

This sounds good. Any chance of piccies? You have to givem a few quid to use the internet but if you scowl at the screen and mutter all the time you can pretend that it doesn't work so don't have to pay much.
No piccies from boat, but will post when I get back. Changing pelican for albatross-lot of em behind ship and v graceful. Now in S. Atlantic 53 56S/63 59W heading 34deg 17.6kt. 6ft seas but wind from stern, so not too rough. Be in Falks in a.m. Will read about L23 when I get back - @ $0.75/min get's bit spensive here.
