So hello again to old friends - those who might remember Humperdinck on 'Sergeant Pepper'? This time though from the other side of the pond on a Hans Christian out of Annapolis.

It just wasn't the same participating on the forum after I became boatless.

Bristol Channel vs. Chesapeake and Caribbean ... oh, and the local boaters are upset over $3.00 a gallon http://www.ybw.com/forums/images/icons/blush.gif

Eastport vagabond!

Your most immediate BB is CSBB followed by Davis's on Chester Av.

Nothing has changed here since you left this brownbagged encrustered isle: JJ is still fingering his whiskers and Dickies are down the pan

Hello there. But what's wrong with the beautiful Bristol Channel? /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Greetings from Palma (Mallorca). Good to hear from you again H. Obviously I too swapped the UK for warmer climates. I'm working on a 30m sloop now - just a tad bigger than old Sgt P but not a tenth of the character.
Happy sailing

Hi, Hump.

Good to hear from you.

Do you think these young whippersnappers currently making this forum great could ever conceive that there are a few of us still around who were part of the original, even before the reborn original, Scuttlebutt?

What is it, six years? More?

Maybe it is time for a virtual reunion.

Good Grief! Is it really you Hump or a ghost from the deepest electronic archives.

Sounds like you're pretty well set up in the Good-ol' US of A. Have you been selling cheap American wrecks to gullible British buyers?

Re: Eastport vagabond!

Indeed! The Davis Pub is alive and well, and only 200 yards from my slip! Same as ever, except they just repainted with fresh bright green paint. Oh - and now NON SMOKING!

BTW, the beer is up to $3.00 a PINT. Please feel sorry for me /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wow - great to hear from you!

Obviously UKSA did a good job! I'm pleased you found a role in the industry. I also decided to pack in the absurdly stressful life in computer software sales. Total BS. Now working in yacht brokerage here in the USA (with ocean sailing boats) and then off to the Caribbean for the Winter. Not so much money by half but life is not a practise. It's also great to be able to wake up in the mornings and look forward to the day.
