Green Algae Stains

Does anybody know a good way to remove Algae Stains from a Canvas Sprayhood. I have tried soaking in Detergent and scubbing, spraying with various mould removers and washing with various chemicals, all without success. I am nervous about using Bleach as I don't want to remove the colour[Tan] from the Canvas.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received

I used jif on mine,it does contain some bleech so only leave on for a short time,or if you can test it on a hidden part all the better.
Dont know if a mild solution of oxalic acid might work does on the hull.....

Pressure wash it (remove it first and do it flat on the ground) I have always cleaned my canvas work that way.

Laying it out flat on the pontoon and scrubbing it with lots of water and Fairy liquid worked well on my cover about 4 months ago, even seems to have deterred new growth.
