Green Algae on hide wheel cover

Greetings everyone
Any recommendations on something to kill / remove the green on a light (Light Grey ish with white flecks ) hide type (Not the smooth leather side - the textured underside) wheel cover.

Tried a gentle scrub washing up liquid & Hocl which helped but obviously did not outright kill & get rid of all the green/dirt -
I'm thinking Patio magic probably too aggressive on a surface that looks & feels good.

I’ve used Boracol and Wykabor on fabric to good effect, and have had a product called ‘Wet & Forget’ or similar recommended to me. Obviously, try a small area which is maybe under the bottom of the wheel when in ‘rudder amidships’ position just in case…

I would use a benzalkonium chloride based product such as Patio Magic or Wet and Forget well diluted.
I'd avoid strong detergents and hypochlorite based products.
Washing up liquid and hypochlorous acid may already have damaged the hide. Seek specialist advice on a product for treating and preserving the hide.
Cover the wheel to exclude light when the boat is not in use.
Consider a stainless steel wheel and kid gloves as a more practical solution.

I have been using Patio Magic for years. It is very good at getting rid of algae/moss/greencrap. At its recommended 4:1 dilution it has never had any adverse effect on a wide variety of fabrics I have deliberately or accidentally sprayed. I have never knowingly used it on hide, but I doubt it would do it any harm.

The action of handling the wheel, water, salt and wind will clean it.
