My boat - a Westerly Oceanlord was damaged on hauling by the yard this year and needs repairs to it bottom where the transport trailer damaged it. The preliminary insurance appointed surveyors have estimated it will cost around €6-8,000, requiring probably cutting out and re-laminating of the 2 areas affected.

The yard I believe currently uses Paleros Yachting from Levkas for repairs and I understand from my insurers that they have agreed to pay for the repairs which is good, but as yet unconfirmed.

Does anyone have any experience of the group. For good reasons, I do not with to make a public thread of this one, so PLEASE only PM me if its adverse comment.

Boat location: Messolonghi.

Chris,

There was a man at Palaros who was brilliant at repairing grp, Sunsail used him full time and I'm told his repairs were undetectable, even on heavily crunched boats. I'm not sure yet whether this is the same person but I'm awaiting confirmation.

Just wondering where your boat was damaged, which yard and how did it happen and would you recommend the yard? Thanks.
