Super idea to detect illegal migrants but are they going to be watching us as well. Lots of boats from Turkey going to Samos for day trips or overnight without going through formal entry procedures. The Greek authorities are well aware of this but turn a blind eye. Will Frontex stick their oar in? By the way this blimp experiment is totally dependent on cooperation from the Turkish coast guard - not much good to Frontex detecting them when they're already in EU waters.

Last I heard there were about three million mainly Syrian refugees in camps or living along the southern Turkish border.
