I got browned off searching for a co-pilot chair for my Windy, and I was put in touch with Mastertrim in Stafford. I wanted to choose one of their standard seats from their brochure but apply some mods. The brochure arrived promtly after a phone call. I phoned for the mods to the "standard" seat which, I was informed, you are allowed to make FOC. Nothing big, just mods to in colour, trim etc.

The lady on the phone said that it would be despatched on the 17th October as I had ordered it on the 7th. She just phoned me again to let me know it will be with tomorrow morning before noon - and all to my spec. I can now fit this to my boat on Saturday. Cor, you change your mind a bit quick don't you.

It wasn't that long ago that you ran a post about seats and mounting boxes, and how we get ripped off in England. You reckoned you had been quoted something like £700+ just for the seats, I believe you said that was from Mastertrim although I might be wrong.

Any how, you then went on to say that you bought said items form the States, with a huge saving. If this is so, why the change of heart?

Actually it was Fibretrim (also based in Stafford). As it happens both company's ski boat seats are horrendously expensive at between £400 - £700 without boxes, so the "Wise Company Inc" seats from the USA with boxes were much better at £285.

On this occassion, Wise didn't have anything that came close enough to my requirements because for some bizarre reason, the Windy's previous owner had fitted one new seat and not the other, so I had to get the closest thing and then apply the mods. For £247 all in I'm happy and my wife has just informed that its arrived.
