I lent my Leatherman wave to the Croatian rigger who was on board. He gripped the shackle so hard with the pliers of the Leatherman that they broke and no longer met.

The Leatherman has an unlimited warranty with no proof of purchase required. So posted of the Wave last week-end and today received a lovely new Leatherman Wave by registered post

Great service!

I've always been a Gerber man rather than Leatherman, but I didn't even think to check the warranty when I snapped the blade while trying to break out of a locked toilet in Bristol.

Ooh, must try that, I broke the end off one jaw of the pliers on my leatherman a few years ago, didn't realise all you had to do was post it back to them!

I got a Gerber at a boat jumble about 10 years ago. Have broken the knife blade twice and each time I have been sent a brand new complete item. never without it when on board.

Bought my Leatherman a few years ago while in the States, broke the long nose pliers while trying to hammer out a split pin, the UK distributor sent me a new pair FOC with a note saying a spray with WD40 now and again wouldn't go a miss!
