25th Annual Great River Race. Approximately 350 boats of various sizes will be rowed approximately 22 miles from Greenwich, starting from about 10.30am, and arriving at Ham House from about 1.30-2pm.

Great race to watch!

Oh, and by the way, that's 100% of the journey, going tidal in a very, very small boat!

Brave you! It's not easy.
Rebellion, in the orange lifejacket, Lili at bow and myself (cox) have done each year, startiing 2007. After a 2 year coxing break, now they're all 18, it's back to rowing for me.

Thanks B1! Spot on.

The passenger swapped in with the junior rowers but the cox had to be over 18, (for scouts, with a Pulling (Rowing) Permit) and was not allowed to row.

So me, no never blonde. :)

I am going to be on the 2 minute boat, I will look out for you and try not to swamp you when we pass you to get to the finish. Good luck to all of you.

If you are rich you can hire a boat package from the organisers, good thing about that is you turn up row it & then hand it to the man at the finish & adjourn to the bar.
Alternatively you need to find a traditional fixed seat boat & like minded crew or join a club that will be entering & try & make the team.
The logistics of getting a crew & boat across london & then the transport & trailer to the finish can be horrendous. Anyone who has done this needs a medal!
I did the race first in 87 then another six times more recently, giving it a miss this year.
Will be there next year with a new four oared Gig.
It is a fantastic event.
