My Great Grandfather used to have his fun on this.My mother gave me the photo yesterday and I remember my oldest uncles stories about the boat.According to him there were circular stairs to the saloon were there were cupboards with glass doors with china in them. The crew wore blue sweaters with the name of the yacht, Irma, sewn on the back.Somehow it's all gone downhill since .My own boat is a tad smaller.

By the clipper bow it appears to be a 19th century design.George Watson perhaps?

The clipper bow certainly makes it likely to be pre 1900's. Not so easy to guess the designer though. Watson is certainly a possibility, but then equally so is Fife. But she might not even be British built which really opens up the options. Google doesn't seem much help, all you get is a three masted schooner called Irma that was wrecked in the great lakes in the 20's.

I wonder if somebody still see this post.
I was just sent a couple of pictures and the page form Loyd Register with, seemingly this same yacht.

You may find them attached. As far as we know it was bought in Germany and brought to Portugal owned by Ruy d'Orey, my great grandfather. So wonder if he later sold it to yours

Any idea to what happen with this yacht?

It seems that the person who made the original poster (30boat) is no longer on this forum (since 2016).

A pity since I am sure that your pictures would be of interest to him.

If you want to do some detective work, I have noticed that the OP (30boat) had a link to a website for the (quite famous) Portuguese Algarve artist Nuno Santiago in his signature. So, he may be Nuno Santiago, himself if you wanted to trace him.

30boat was Nuno. I will see if I can notify him of the recent post. I asked about his ban and someone had wound him up and he used the F word in a reply. He lives in Tavira.
