I have a 1985 Jouet 760 with a Yanmar 1GM10 in it. The grease pump that goes directly to the stern gland has a rubber valve between 2 washers, which has died! The pump is cast brass, with no name or numbers on it. Does anyone know where I could get either a replacement valve or a replacement pump?
Thanks
Susie

I fitted a Deep Sea Seal on my Jouet 920 (Volvo MD1B driving a 2-bladed prop) and wondered why I'd wasted thirty years fiddling with greasers! To avoid bleeding it after drying out you can add a water feed from the exhaust. Where was I all those years??

I was once on a ship where the steward tried to fiddle with a greaser. The greaser gave him a black eye. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I am just about to replace my greaser with a dripless seal. You can have the brass greaser if you want. I live in London and the boat is in Kent.

An old grease gun works well if you are not fussy about having the real brass thing. The kind with a lever on the side that most people have knocking around in their garage but don't need om modern cars.
