I am about to purchase a Grand Banks 36 Motor yacht 1996
the boat is fitted with twin Cummins 6BT's.

It is fitted with a fuel tank capacity of 1551 liters

Can any body inform me how many gallons per hour at 10 knots this vessel would
use and approximate range please?

Regards

From my experience most single engine 36' trawlers will do about 3-4mpg at 7-8 kts.
most twin engined 36' will manage about 2mpg at 8 kts....

10 kts is very fast for slow cruising: you'll probably only get 1-1.5mpg at that speed.

Real rough guess but 50lph would not be far away, however at 7knots it could be 20/25lph and 6knots maybe even 10lph.

That all sounds about right to me. Can't see any good reason to exceed hull speed (about 7ish kts) by about 3 kts and use probably more than double the fuel.
