Graham Hurley writes crime fiction based around the Solent, building of Gunwharf, the Fastnet and RTIR.
He is accurate, enthralling, and invites you to share the life of the characters in some detail, and in a way in which you feel their happiness, and in some cases their grief. The accuracy of the area is incredible. And for those of us who are ex-police a flash back to operational areas that were, and may even still be, placed in the exciting areas of the job.
I highly recommend them as a weekend read.
