Grade of ATF for gearbox?

Thankyou for your advice on using ATF in my gearbox. So, off I trot to a local car parts place:

"A bottle of your finest ATF please"

- "Very well sir, and what grade would that be?"

"Errr, what grades do you do?"

- "Well sir, we stock 6 but I know of at least 6 others, it's very important you know, different boiling points and all..."

'Tis awfully difficult this boating business. Can someone please suggest a grade or brand that would do the job in a Technodrive TMC40...

Had the same trouble myself, e-mailed Technodrive and got the very helpful response below:

you can use any type of ATF oil for the mechanical gearbox TMC 40 M.

Having got the same response as Moonfire I trotted off to the nearest chandlery, Arthurs in Gosport who had it on the shelf. Seems they have quite a call for it, so should be relatively easy to lay hands on some.
