GPS

Here I am on my new laptop. Now I have it, is there a GPS I can just plug into it. I don't think I'll need one with a screen etc, just the reciever. If there is, where can I get one and what does it cost?

look on ebay gps mouse anywhere around £30 - 50 tops

bought one from GPSWarehouse last week.

USB connected little black blob for £40 inc vat and posteage.

Check the bargin pages, there are loads of bargins, or old stock etc.

Careful with the budget ones, many are not WAAS enabled.

Saw one for £74 plus post on www.internet-marine.com including WAAS.

Yes Phil it works fine but I had no end of troubles getting the driver to load and work.

Does yours ever work?

What type did you get, mine's a HI 202S

yes it gets data, finds the position and then times out with a communication time out message. its a global sat BU 202 , very frustrating, wanted to use it abroad and cant set it up reliably
